FBA President Lobbys Gov’t on Tax Changes

A panel of Family Business Atlantic Advisors shared disturbing news on proposed tax changes at a session held on September 25. Among other messages we learned that it will cost families more to sell their business to a family member than it would to a corporation in China! The clear message from all was that these are HUGE tax reforms that are a direct hit on family enterprises. Speakers urged the business community to be painfully vocal to their MP and MLAs.

Our president, Alan Streatch, has sent a strong letter to Hon. Bardish Chagger,  Minister for Small Business.  We encourage all members and those affected to do the same.   We need to be united and speak out against these changes – they are bad for business and bad for families!
