Message from our PWD Chair, Dr. Margie Humphreys:
It was the very stuff family firms are known for in times of trouble and the stuff business and people are doing now—pulling together.
Re-scheduling the Peter Wilson Dinner was a small but lovely act of teamwork and co-ordination. A quickly called meeting: Committee members chiming in to make collective sense of the unprecedented, in real-time the staff coordinating with our venue, and us sending dates to our speakers while they checked their calendars and responded almost instantly. People on text, phones, webinar and email—all working together. Meanwhile, communication plans unfolded for our sponsors, registered guests and membership. Within 24 hours, everything was in place. I am so proud to have been a part of those efforts and grateful to a dedicated committee and staff.
On behalf of the committee, a big thank-you to our 2020 speakers Allan Shaw and Dean Robertson, our faithful sponsors and registered dinner guests—everyone stayed on board—and the rest of you are invited! We are all looking forward to better times and hope to see you at the Peter Wilson Dinner on November 18, 2020.
A night with fellow families in business – join us at our signature event sponsored by TD Bank Group.
